Update 3.1 - Major Bug Fixes!



Greetings everyone! The new update is here. First off, a small disclaimer. The last version was admittedly rushed out without proper playtesting, to meet a deadline. For that, I apologize. I was not expecting a few small implementations to break the game (we're talking about the insertion of something simple like sound clips). 

Secondly, there's one other system that I have had to axe for now. That's the skip function. Unfortunately, upon playtesting, I encountered numerous bugs with the feature left in. I'll have to diagnose things further in the future, possibly disabling skip during scenes with bugs.

Also, numerous other small things have been fixed. I'll break it down for you guys here. Most importantly, you should be able to complete the game from start to finish. You'll have to redownload the game for these fixes (see attachments below or download from the main page). 

  • Softlocks (where the game cannot proceed) have been fixed.
  • Tightened up main menu code (should not lock up as before).
  • CG unlocks now work properly. 
  • Disabled Skip function entirely.

Please use the scene selection in the main menu for assistance with navigating around the game. Additionally, you can use auto text at a higher speed to progress. Just keep in mind that you'll zoom past insight events, typically. 

That's all for now, everyone. I apologize once more for that blunder of a release, but things should at least work, at the minimum. For the next week or so leading up to the Kickstarter, I'll be focusing on marketing and social media presence, so consider checking out our Twitter. I'll also try posting the game on GameJolt for additional exposure. 

The Kickstarter is still on track for February 28th, where you can look forward to our live stream, trailer debut, and launch of the campaign!
